Rupture Disk
The Oseco CO Type rupture disk is designed to operate effectively at rupture pressures lower than those of the Standard type rupture disk(s). Standard materials available include 316 Stainless Steel, Monel, Inconel, Nickel, Aluminum and Hastelloy (C-276). The CO consists of a slotted top section and a Fluoropolymer or metal seal. The metal top section controls the rupture pressure of the of the disk and the seal isolates the top section from the process media and prevents leakage. The CO is designed for gas or liquid service. It is also excellent for static or cycling service. The Oseco CO rupture disk, under normal operating conditions, may be exposed to operating pressures up to 80% of the rated pressure of the disks with good service life.
| If the CO rupture disk is subjected to any vacuum service, it is necessary to specify a vacuum support with the CO rupture disk; thus becoming a COV. The standard materials utilized for vacuum supports are identical to those listed for the top sections. |
